POLICIES AND GAME RULES
Policies
1. Fighting,
excessive swearing, and all other inappropriate conduct will result in that
player's ejection from the on-going game and suspension from the next game his
team plays.
2. All team members
must wear the team jersey. Any player
who does not have the team jersey will be assessed a technical foul when that
player enters the game.
3. Only one person is
permitted to stand along the sidelines (i.e. coach) and only team members are permitted
on the bench.
4. NO ALCOHOL
PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY. This is a
family oriented facility. Any player
coming to the game smelling like alcohol will be suspended for one game.
Game
Rules
1. The Bowie Magic
Organization will follow NCAA modified rules.
The Bowie Magic Organization will provide a game ball.
2. Games will be
played in 20-minute halves with a 2-minute half time.
3. The clock stops in
last minute of the second half unless one team is 20 or more points ahead of
the other team.
4. There will be a
24-second shot clock (modified rule).
5. Three (3) full
time-outs per game; two (2) 30-second time-outs per game.
6. There will be a
5-minute grace period/warm-up period between games.
7. Teams may start the games with four (4)
players however the fifth player must arrive by the beginning of the second
half or the team with only 4 players will forfeit the game.
8. Final team roster is due by the fourth (4th)
game.
9. All players must have played in a minimum of
four (4) regular season games to be eligible to play in the play-offs.
10. No more than two
(2) forfeits permitted. A team that
forfeits 2 games will be disqualified from post season play (play-offs) and
will not be admitted in to the league in the following season.
